Finsterbergen, Germany This is an unused stocknagel/medallion in Mint condition obtained from an individual in Europe. Measuring approx 2.8 cm in diameter in size. This stocknagel is to be mounted on a walking stick with nails to show the places that they had visited. These are called either pins, mounts, shields, stocknagel, medallions, placckette/scudetti or badges and do the same thing as lapel or hat pins, they tell everyone where you have been and what you have seen. Finsterbergen is a former municipality in the district of Gotha, in Thuringia, Germany. Since 1 December 2007, it is part of the town Friedrichroda This is an extremely nice pin.
