Note - this item has been powered on and tested. It looks like a new unit. There's a Chicago map that comes up. I am not familiar as to how it works. But it is in fact working. It has and internal chargeable battery - when I unplugged it it showed "Battery Low" so It works and took enough of a charge to display that message as I had it plugged into and AC outlet for about 5 minutes.
