Madau i Lechtal - Austria. This is constructed of either aluminum or tin and is an used stocknagel in great condition. It is approx. 3.8 cm by 3.2 cm in size. This mount is to be affixed on a walking stick with two nails to show the places that people had visited. These are called either pins, mounts, shields, stocknagel, plakatten, medallions or badges and do the same thing as lapel or hat pins, they tell everyone where you have been and what you have seen.
